I really like that emblem. I think it looks pretty cool on there, one of those neat "finishing touches".

Nice, I have a couple of those badges I pulled off a junked Camaro, and I keep waiting to score a Hurst shifter so I can stick one on. Btw, how's the shifter compared to the stock one?

Agreed.I actually like it better than the Ripper Shifter (B&M) that was in there. It has a better reach, shorter throw for the gears.I also have the Hurst pistol grip shifter handle. The shift lever is a different brand that is adjustable in just about every way.LOL.Very nice setup right now.I bought the shifter brand new on Ebay.I made an offer and they accepted it.MUCH cheaper than advertised prices.Just because it's a business on ebay selling parts, doesn't mean they won't make deals for you. They want to sell, and they have always came down on prices.Just ask them and deal with them.

Thanks for the comments on the car. It's still got a ways to go,but we're getting there slowly but surely.

They are big money now. A family friend has an NOS set he bought a long time ago. People have offered him quite a bit for them and he just refuses to sell. Maybe he's planning on using it, I dunno. I think it would be awesome in the 442 :).

And vinnie, I guess you'll have to change the B&M Ripper part of whats been done to your car... you know the section below every post. It still says B&M, lol. :)

Update....the shifter is .It is sloppy and it moves too far forward. The shifter actually moves UP when you shift to 1st and 3rd.The Ripper shifter didn't have that ability.I actually think I just got a bad shifter. One of those things.I'm sending it back and getting a refund and a billet Hurst shifter is on the way.I am NOT going to pull the driver side pie (2nd part of the X-Pipe) off and drop the crossmember, and all that.I pulled the console back, and trimmed the hole in the drive shaft tunnel just big big enough to let me swap the shifter from inside the car like the Stang owners can do.I can still install the shifter cover (rubber gasket with the metal ring) from a Stang.I'll drill 4 small starter holes and install self tapping fasteners.Easy enough. The new shifter should be here Thursday, then I'll install it and re-install the console. It's just siting in place right now.

There's the update.
