In re to #2, it was the Democratic House that proposed the mark-to-market rule that caused all that.  The same people now trying to fix it.

Bush was no doubt the worst prez. ever, UNTIL NOW. We all know that but as bias as that article is, Just you wait till Obama is done with you. I told you so is already appropriate but eventually you will feel that buyer's remorse on your own. Hating bush is just a distraction. Wake up dude.

Can we go a week without a political thread on a forum where the rules state that we shouldn't have any?

I'm gonna go drive my Cougar and have a photoshoot.  Behave while I'm gone :shakeass:

Agreed.

I've been posting for about 10 years on automotive forums and can count on one hand the number of political type threads that I've started. It only leads to a bad atmosphere and I thought we were all car enthusiasts? If I could resist correcting the "usual lies" that I see posted I would, but the BS in this thread reeks to high heaven.

Off to test my new invention on my car - it's finally warm enough to get out there and start experimenting.

I'm not one to get political....I leave that to my wife who is in politics, and don't like to start any bickering over something we can't control.  That said, it's still greed that got us in this mess.  You can place blame on government people, but it doesn't change the fact that it's the conscience of bankers and mortgage lenders that could have kept it from getting as bad as it has.

BTW, up here where I live, it's been a mini-depression since the early 1980's.  We just deal with it.

i don't take any of this personally either :D

I'm seriously considering adding "Bush" and "Obama" to the banned words list for this forum...
