thats a fact, geico just came to us,... and yes, i saved over 700$ by switching to geico:D  hey bill, did u ever get any of them burnout pix from millers BBQ? u left a nice cloud of smoke when u left lol.

Naw, LOL I noticed that in my rearview actually. Good thing his neighbor was the one partying with us! Damm Bob, that really sucks. My phone was one the whole weekend since Friday, dunno why I didn't get your call. As for the color thing, well, they made these cars in some pretty funky one off colors in 95-96 before they went to the strict 6 color choices for LSC's in 97-98. The opalescent is one of the more common colors besides black and red. There are some 95-96 LSC's running around that I have never seen two of the same color before (pro-five-oh has one, that sweet charcoal grey color). When I first started looking for a 95-96 LSC I was trying to find one that was either that color or in dark baltic (again, a color that I've only seen on one car but absolutely fell in love with it)

Here's a pic of it:

Under poor light, it looks jet black, under mild light it looks dark navy blue, under bright light it's actually a dark purple.

Congrats! I love these cars. They do just about everything right, abd the 95-96 LSCs are my favorite.

I'm pretty big into LSCs and I have yet to see another grey (it actually has a wierd purple flop to it, really cool color) one like mine with a black interior. I kinda like it that way.

Put a full exhaust (headers, 2.5" pipes, etc) and you won't be missing that GTO a whole lot.  I just did that to mine and the car is a frickin animal now!

All in due time bro, What types of headers did you get, Kooks? I was looking into possibly getting the ART true dual system (exhaust shops around here won't touch these cars except for lers). There's a black 96 LSC running around my 'hood that has it and it looks and sounds wonderful. Who was the lucky individual who got to remove your K-member? I just did the upper and lower control arms and all associated bushings, ball joints and tie rod ends on the front end. Basically all of the preliminary work to removing the K-member (the entire front suspension including the bags were off of the car). Next time I'm definetly paying someone to do it, LOL!

Well, my one and only long trip in the car was to visit the weasle down in mountainous Martinsville Va. While I was down there I drove his '05 mustang GT convertible. As far as comparison goes, the stang is defintley more comfortable as far as the cusioning to the seats and ride etc. However it really did not feel like a performance car compared to the Goat (sorry Will, haha). Sharper handling, better brakes by far, more responsive steering and much more supportive seats and better weight distribution. I was much more confident taking my car up to 120 MPH on US 220 compared to taking his car up to 90 (and going alot quicker than I should around those mountain roads). The LS1 could still blow the tires off the car from a 1st gear roll. As far as problems go? my driver's side airbag sensor went bad and triggered a fault light (replaced under warranty @ 21K miles) and on exceptionally cold days, the hydraulic assist clutch was tough to engage. After the driving around for bit and getting the underside nice and warm it would be ok. But it would cause occasionally second gear grinds if you didn't nurse it. But other than that, nope no probs. Again, if I lived anywhere else I'd have another as we speak.

Yeah I got the Kooks, jet hot coated.  I had a guy who specializes in Corvette ZR1s do the install...it was a bite in the ass for him but he's done worse.  He TIG welded it, made a custom X-pipe from two U-bends, painted it black, did an amazing job.

Make sure you do an X-pipe with it, the sound is just amazing.  Those 4.6Ls sound so  good its scary.

thats pretty much identical to my moms 96 LSC, except that one is in much better shape. i believe the color is called dark baltic blue.

the 96 lsc was one of the most sought after because it had the 97-98 hid's and eec-v without the exterior styling (front end, etc)
