shift kits

I was wondering if I am able to get a shift kit for a 87 t-bird 5.0 and if so where can i get one?

Yep. Summitracing has 'em. I hear Trans-go are the best. That's what I'll be getting.

thanks I appreciate it. im trying to learn some thingds I can do to my t-bird.its the first one ive owned.

A new Stall Convertor will go nicely with the shift kit. 2400 Stall or so. Those will run more expensively, though, probably around $200 or more. Also, when you install a stall convertor you're gonna want a better transmission cooler.

I have been told that in order to use a stall converter I would need more power and better gears (5.0 SO and stock 7.5" 2.73s). of course it is a 3,000 stall converter if I remember right...
