I have Some bad news bout my car.

well tonight i got into a car acident. im fine and so are the other people. so thats the only real goodnews i have to report about this.

now for what happened. im coming down an over pass and ahead on to my left is a lane to cut to my right their left. the light turns green for me and this lady. well she gets the arrow i guess or the light was just green. so she starts poking along like im not coming. so im coming down a hill and see this. so i hit the breaks and. the tires lock up. and wham. i hit her in the quater pannle and rim. some infinity suv. (two worst things a lady driving and a suv owner) well when i hit her i got it pretty good bc i pushed her car down the hill some. but i wathched as the front end of my car fly all over the place :shakehead .

damage report:
i guess it's fixable. i really didnt look to good. but the fenders seemed to be ok. im gonna need a new bumper and cover, hood, header pannel and lights.. which makes me think the insurance company will total it. i hope not. but it did still run but i had to turn it off bc the fan washiznitting the shroud i . tomorrow when i get it home i will see if the frame is bent..

enough of me rambling now im just upset. dam out of state people.

oh and the report isnt down as my fault so thats good. but with out a doubt the car is gonna be down a while. im gonna go see about this mustang for 150 as a car for now .

Glad everyone is OK.............Chances are it can be fixed.........Used body parts and some paint should do it. ......The radiator fan thing may be just due to some minor flexing of the brace that can easily be straightend.............If she was turnling left in front of you then yea it is her fault for sure........Tell the insurance you want to keep the car not total it, and chances are they will give you what the repairs cost or the value of a total loss whichever is less

well i talked to my company today and since i dont have colision they arent even going to look at it. which can be good bc now i can fix it. so i guess since they arent going to look at it i may not be getting money from this i rather keep my yearly due down . im sure the only thing will be paint that will be hard to get close.

so its her fault,,,,,,,,,seems to me that her insurance should be contacting you. Maybe its because the state you live in is what is called a "no fault" state like kentucky. No matter who's fault it is, each inidvidual is responsible for their own damages.
if thats not the case then im confused here :dunno:

glad to hear everythings ok and no one was hurt. Id disect the body parts off the car and see whats bent up.

well if you are looking to rebuild i have the headder pannel frill and frount lights off of my 88 cougar if you are interested email me or post here. because i really need to get rid of these parts and i despratly need the cash for em. im sure we can work out some ytpe of shipping arrangement if possibul. but its good to hear that everyone is ok and that the cougar can possibly be salvaged. and if you need a hood i have that as well. like i said just email me or post here so we can work something out.

yeah new jersey is a no falt state from what i hear but we will see whats gonna happen.

as for disecting the car not yet. i want to make sure someone will come out and look at it so i can eaither get fixed or some money. fixed i dont think is gonna be cheep. bc the "box" is bent and pulled. so it would have to be a new or on a frame machine. but doubt they will pay for that. and what ever i do get wont pay for that much serious work to be done.

on a beter note. i got a new car for now. a 93 mustang. pretty clean car. i couldnt let it go. it was so cheep. 5.0 auto straight repainted body. if i get a chance to shoot some pics of the cougar ill snap a few of the new car.

Tell you insurance you wanna keep the vehicule.... they will pay anyway.... but DONT let your car sit in a garage or yard waiting for evaluation... they will charge you "Storing fee". I dont know how much it's there but here it's 15$ per day, the bill raise fast!

If you tell your insurer you keep the car, they will substract the Towing+Storage fee before paying you back. that's why I told you to get your car back home as fast as possible... (if not already done....)

Try to raise up the refund ammount by giving insurer copies of everything costly you did lately... (Rear-end rebuild, Paint, Engine etc...)

My advice, check for the difference between the Repair cost and the check ammount.... then, its your decision....
