Re: Changing computer help Reply #16 – July 17, 2005, 05:24:25 AM i put a stage 2 comp cam in it and had the short block rebuid. i put a set of E7TE heads on it with a new upper and lower intake. i put shorty headers with true duals on with flowmasters. with my computer running just the defualt settings i can keep up with my dads v6 mustang so i know it will fly with just the computer upgrade. Re: Changing computer help Reply #17 – July 17, 2005, 08:38:03 AM woah, It is running after all of those upgrades? I figured that the stock computer would be useless that far. It is the stock computer right? Quote Selected
Re: Changing computer help Reply #18 – July 17, 2005, 10:28:36 AM It can't be running very good thats for sure... If the cam you installed doesn't produce at least 16"-17" of vaccum it will be way too rich at idle(especially with the HO 19lb injectors). You need to do the Mass Air up grade with at least 19lb injectors. And it would probably run better with 24lb inj and a larger aftermarket air meter.... Quote Selected
Re: Changing computer help Reply #19 – July 17, 2005, 10:33:18 AM yeah get a spiffy computer adn you will kill your dads mustang. Quote Selected
Re: Changing computer help Reply #20 – July 17, 2005, 11:10:00 AM it dont run rich or anything pretty much all is does it run hot like at the n if you look at the stock temp gauge. pretty much right now i changed so much my computer just says ok this is how much fuel you will get this is how much air and there you go you can get home. so it runs and i can drive it sure but yea it doesnt go very fast, but it does run and i have the 19 lbs fuel injectors i just got them off ebay for 33 bucks for 8 of them i havnt put them in the car Quote Selected

Re: Changing computer help Reply #25 – July 17, 2005, 02:37:37 PM im trying to find the cam specs, depending on the cam, you could get away with speed density Quote Selected

Re: Changing computer help Reply #27 – July 17, 2005, 08:52:40 PM The VM1 is for a '86 but should work(if your engine will run correctly on speed densety)... It's likely going to need a ground wire run to pin #44 so the EEC can read the left 02 sensor... Quote Selected
