Hello everybody! My Cats...

I'm new to the site. Trying to see if anybody knows what kind of engine and transmission I can throw in my Cats. Black and Cream is an 84 GS 3.8 and the black and silver is 86 LS 3.8 as well I believe. Let me know what you guys think. I'm looking for the most effective and not most expensive set up.

86-88 302 sefi swap is easiest and will give ya the most driveability, upgrade ability, and if you wanted, wouldn't cost much extra to upgrade to the 225HP h.o. setup from a mustang. Luckily with cross platform sharing between the fox chassis, almost anything that can be done to a mustang can be done to our cars pretty easily.

Check out coolcats.net and read up in the "modified" section, then come back for any questions or advice you may need.

Welcome to the forum, nice looking cars.

I honestly dont think you could exceed the cost of a new car buy installing new *stock* parts everywhere in your coug our tbird. Its just plain impossible. You could revamp the entire drivetrain/engine/suspenstion and still come out ahead.

Hello :)

302/351W are the best swap candidates as far as V8 power goes on these cars.
