1.5 to 2.0 OD Band

1.5 to 2.0 OD Band

Does anyone know if I can install a 2.0" Band where a 1.5" band was or do I need to swap the carrier it wraps around?

Backstory:
Pulled my SC trans to swap the OD band (started slipping). I ordered the 2.0 thinking thats what should be in the car (Its should be an A servo). When I opened it up, I pulled out a 1.5" band. Looks like someone may have had a rebuilt unit installed at some point.

I dunno about swapping but AFAIK the 2" was not installed in any Fox Bird/Coug AOD...

This is for a 92 MN12 TBirdSC I'm trying to sell. Just read that in 92 it was a shoot if it came with the 2" or 1.5" bands. Guess I lost that bet. I think that you need to swap the reverse drum to the one from a 4R70W (and the accompanying planetary).
