164 for sure!!!! DO NOT let anyone tell you otherwise, that all that fits an AOD. 157 WILL NOT WORK!!!!

Just out of curiosity, which flexplate does the 5.0/AOD have? I'm wondering because the flexplate that came out of my old '97 E-350 with the 351/E4OD combo looked identical to the one I took out of my T-Bird (except, of course, the weights). It was the same diameter, had the same tooth pitch, and the same offset.

11.5" 164 tooth. I even had a Mustang specialty shop screw this up and I had to eat a converter because of the problem........Very tough lesson to swallow.
