Reply #20 – December 06, 2008, 12:58:41 AM The more I think about it, I believe the "anti drain back" valve in that filter failed and let the oil drain back through the pump to the pan. Since the filter is mounted horizontal it would be more apt to drain out.Or it could be the wrong filter for this engine and doesn't have an anti drain back valve. Quote Selected
