Dream system(for now)

so i have desided on the set up i want.

after talking to people and hearing different thing i have decided to throw the 12's out the window totally.

i loved that 15 and i always wanted to do a 15 in the floor but could never figure out the rest of it. so.....

im running 1 15" Kicker Comp (oldschool one in my pics) and 2 8" subs

then the 6x 8s are gone in favor of 6" for the rear deck.

not sure about the front yet. but think im going to put the tweeters in the dash holes maybe and then whatever i can fit in the doors.

might build the 8"s into the rear deck too.

then whole system was made up of different things i heard from different ppl. 8s and 15 high and low bass. 6s for clear crisp sound plus it will port the trunk and let the bass in.

What do you guys think?

I'd throw the 6s in the doors, tweeters in the pillars, 8s in the deck, and the 15 in the trunk, with all of them amped.

I am running 2 Kicker Comp 10's and a 6.5" component set. 6.5" in the door 1" tweet "mounted" on the dash. Everything run off amps.

I have heard bad things about mixing sub sizes cancelling out sound, but I don't have any sources to back me up right now, so take it for what it's worth. It's just something you might want to look for, but I'm by no means an expert here.

yeah that is true if you mix some sizes of subs. But this is why im going with 1 15 an 2 8s. from what ive heard this give both low and high bass. i wanted a 15 and 2 12s but then you get cancelation.

i dont like the tweeters in the pillars, look like tumors to me.

might but the 8s in the deck but not sure. and 6.5 in the door for sure if that is as big as it fits.

hhhmmmmmmm.......... what about 4 8's two in the back and 2 in the back corner of the doors.

Havign 4 8's is overkill. You'll have no mids or highs. All low and mid-bass.

You'll most likely want to stick with 6.5's everywhere you can, as they give the best bass from a non sub speaker. *'s in the deck could be fine, but you'll have to do some serious modding of the deck tray. Also make sure they can be mounted free air, or are infinite baffle. I guess it's all up to you, but getting too crazy with speaker sizes is pretty iffy, unless you have knowledge of audio theory. The cancelation you are talking about is called phasing, and it occurs when speakers play inverse sign waves of each other or something like that. Plus unless you actually properly amp each speaker, you're basically going to be hitting your head against the wall.

What's your budget for this?

everything for now is used so i get it on the low.

the 6.5 in the door and the 6 in the 9x6 holes in the deck then im going to cut holes for the 8's in the deck and build boxes around them. all i have to worry about the 3rd brake light stuff. since i still don't have my car im not able to measure things out right now. 4 8's might be a little over kill but if i throw 2 4" next to the arm rest of the back seat on each side....... ok now im getting crazy, but we'll see.

Seriously, I'm telling you right now. If you're doing this for sound quality, thats too many speakers.

Put 3.5s in the dash, mount your tweeters wherever, 6.5s in the doors...those are your highs. 6x9s are your mids, and keep your 15, and if you need more bass get another sub. You'll need Four 8's just to match the 15 you've got. Im not understanding the whole 4 8's thing. 12's and 15's together wouldnt really "cancel" each other out. I know that from experience, its just hella loud.
