hey wats a good aod torque converter for about 400 hp ??? with a lockup
The real question is how are you going to make 400hp? Definatly not with a trick flow kit.
I think most of us are partial to B&M converters. They're Torkmaster series is fairly cheap and I've heard they'll hold up fairly well on the street. A Holeshot series like mine ran me like $400 CAD but I'm sure it'll take whatever I throw at it. I think they come in stall speeds of 2000, 2400, and 3000...probably higher. If you're actually going to make 400 horsepower you'd probably want a 2400 or 3000 stall. Just don't overkill with the stall speed or you may have to floor it just to get the car moving :P And you'll need a transmission cooler.
stay away from b+m,Igot less than 1000 miles on it,stall is unpradictable on them.
is a tci torque converter any good
