They fit snugly right in the recessed area in the trunk, almost like it was made for it. I helped my buddy pack his stuff up so he could head off to SLC for school and he said he didnt have room for his sub in his car anymore, so he gave it to me. I had a JBL sub right behind the passenger seat on the floor, but that was limiting how far back the seat could move and it meant no one could sit in the back on that side too. So I spent a couple hours yesterday after work extending the power wire to the trunk and running a second remote power wire from the power antenna to the trunk. I couldnt get the rear seat back off of the car though, has anyone tried removing that thing? What size hex wrench are those bolts that hold the seatbelts down? None of mine fit so I gave up and had my wife feed the cables under the seat back to me in the trunk and I pulled them through. I also found out that the trunk is quite spacous and I could probably sleep back there comfortably if I had to.
I probably should have vaccumed the trunk after I finished and before I took the picture huh? That looks nasty in there. :nono:
That looks pretty good. Those seat belt bolts are what are holding the rear seat back in. I think they are a T60 torx bit. Once those bolts are out just lift it sright up. Also try changing the direction the speakers are faceing to see witch one is loudest.

anywho, i forgot the size of the torx bit. to remove the back seat bottom you have to push down and toward the rear of the car it the front lower base of the seat bottom. if you feel there you can tell their is a metal barstock frame there. you are pushing it out of some cupped fingers that capture it there. wish i had pics. it would be much easier to explain...lol
I have a 600w Jensen, alittle newer than that. Of course Free isnt a bad price. I have never heard of advent subs, hmm. Personally I have some stuff set aside. Im keeping my factory AM/FM, using an ipod transmitter, and running my non PS system with 2 amps, and replacing the cabin speakers with Rockford Punch series.
Advent used to be Jensens top end stuff. That was a few years ago. They also had some mid type speaker with a special kind of tweeter setup.
advent is better known for home audio i belive.
Yeah, I knew that I had to take those seatbelt bolts off in order to get the seat back out of the car. But since I didnt have the right bit I just ended up reaching underneith the seat (after removing the seat bottom of course) to pull the wires through. Im still getting the amp adjusted to my liking, but so far it sounds pretty sweet. Definitely better than that JBL sub in the backseat.
