Title: Anyone do much for Halloween?
Post by: Jeremy in Indy on October 20, 2004, 06:44:07 AM
My family usually does a fairly modest "yard haunt" thing.  Have a bunch of props and stuff.  Used to do more, but my parents 'grew up'.  Was thinking about trying to get on with one of the local haunted houses, but haven't really heard back from them yet.  :(

What kind of involvement do you go for?
- hiding with lights off
- passing candy
- egg / tp  :macgun:
- taking you or your kid out to 'TOT'
- little haunt
- big haunt
- working a haunted house

I usually dress up for the day no matter where I am. Other than that, depends on my mood. Gotta find something for the dog to wear too, they don't make much for the big dogs :(

I'm still pissed that it's on a sunday and I don't get to dress up and go to work!

Traditionally I've gone deer hunting (deer season starts the last friday in October around here). This year, since it's on a Sunday I'll be moving my sister instead, and believe me, that is about the scariest way I can think of to spend halloween !

We have a community trick or treating on our campus for all the little kids that live in the town.  It is never actually on holloween though, it is going to be next sunday this year.  But I am thinking I might grab some decorations from home and do something with my room this year.

My gay town (Salem) has Trick or Treat from like... 2 - 2:45 PM a few days before halloween, I'm not shiznitting you.  However if you go about 7 miles east to Columbiana they actually do thiers and allow kids out at night for that day.  The reason Salem has such gay hours is a result of 9-11... apperantly Al Quaeda forces are working to poison candy in small-town children but they could only do so on Halloween and when it's dark.

Last year I spent the three weeks before Halloween making tombstones to go in the yard.  We planned a party and I put the invitees names on the tombstones.  We had a bunch of people over and we all dressed up.  The house was all decorated and everything.  It was cool.  But this year I'm not sure what I'm going to do.  I wish more of my friends liked Halloween as much as I do.

I'll probably dress up with blood comming from my eyes and mouth like last halloween.  And drive around in babies bleeding head lights.  I bought more so it'll look like i drove over people.  Maybe add hand prints smushes on the side
