Title: whats the deal with gears

when you change gears do you really feel a differnce and is it alot of work to change gears

but definitly not for the average do-it-yourselfer..  Requires special tools & training to be done properly.. ask me how i know.. lol

you *can* do the swap without the tools and training, but the problem then becomes, how long will the gears last

without the proper tools, its VERY hard to get the backlash set properly, which causes some nice noises out back, and can easily wear the gears out faster

...or just find a whole rear end and swap them. :grinno:

At the bare minimum you need a torque wrench and magnetic base dial indicator.  You can do a good job without a press and case spreader.
