im wondering what till make a amp draw power from the battery when it isn't on? and i checked the remote wire and of corse there is nothing comming from it nut i check the power wire it has constant power. cuz its from the batt and it will have that but why would it use power when off?
It doesn't the power wire will always be hot. the remote wire turns the amp on.It draws no power when the remote wire has no voltage.
nope its never been warm to the touch.
no not hot as in temp but hot as in 12v.
yeah it always is. but i know that because its hooked up to the battery and the switch in the amp(remote) would trun it on when the cd player is on. but why would it draw power and kill the batt?
It shouldnt. are you sure that is were your drain is?
positive. because when i pulled the fuse to the power wire for the am it hasent been an issue. but im testing it out now because i found one of my ground wires touching some metal. so i taped it up and now seeing if its draning still.
p.s. so far so good battery still has a full charge and has no drain on it.so who knows what happened.
tricky trickey grounds... they can stump ya!
well i taped up that ground wire and no issues at all. thanx for all the help.
