It says in his car domain page that it is off of a volvo. Ford bought out volvo and has been using ford engines for a while. Ill bet it is just a newer regular 2.3 ford engine block.
Yeah, but Ford only bought out Volvo a few years back. This doesn't look like a recent Volvo head. I hope you're right though. :D
the volvo head isnt a direct swap, there is still some fabricating involved, im not sure how extensive it is though
now...if you wanted a 16v neon head on your 8v single cam 2.2L...then we could talk
Talk to me man. The T-bird just gained itself another decade before it gets sold.
That isn't my car that is a volvo head swaped on to a ford 2.3 lima block.
Here is a link read up.

Thaks man. I found that exact article on a Merkur site last night and printed it off. It sure as hell doesn't sound cheap, and with four pages of instructions, I imagine it would take over a year to complete. Hell it would take six months just to source all the parts. (Mitsubishi timing belt? :wtf: ) I still want to do it though.
Is ther any easier way of going DOHC 16V? It always pissed me off that Ford only went as far as OHC with this thing.
Read down through the discussion there.. people mention a couple other options, I think.
There's even a somewhat unrelated link to a site that sells 4 valve/cylinder heads for pushrod V8s. At least, if it was more relevant, I forgot how.. been a few hours since I followed the links.
