I found a new use for the dish washer, but my wife says, " NO WAY IN HELL" !!! lol

That's how I used to clean my keyboards back in the day.
You don't have to tell the wife what's in there. Dawn cleans up grease good.

I did a 2 stroke top end once before I sent it out for replating (nikasil) and wasn't that impressed.
I have found letting carbs soak in Pine Sole over night does wonders though making them look almost new. I have used oven cleaner on my dirt bike engines but only very briefly cause it is caustic to aluminum. Pressure wash off after only a minute or so and very happy with the clean.

me- wife and kids are GONE!!!
me- fishing lures are dirty
me- hey,, just hang em in the dishwasher and run it one cycle
me- get distracted by other stuff
them- they come home
wife- opens dishwasher
wife- *loud tone> SERIOUSLY!!!! was all i heard from way out in the garage.
so yeah,, i can relate to whatcha have going on there
