decided to make my own 1 piece a pillar trim that hold 2 gauges.  turned out pretty good.

Yup.  For some reason I can't post any more pics of it completed.  Looks awesome though

I welded it using my soldering gun and spare pieces of the trim  and gauge pod then sanded it and JB Weld to finish it.

Looks good.

I wonder if there is a way to duplicate the "grain" effect of the factory panels on the gauge pods?

Ya I'm happy with it.  Used a textured paint for the base then grey on top.

The textured paint helps blend everything. Nice idea.

I can't see it in the pictures but do you have a tachometer hiding somewhere?

The dash is getting a custom gauge panel too i will be making from the stock gauges.  All gauges will be autometer phantom gauges.  Will be a tach, metric speedo, oil pressure, water temp, volt, fuel level, afr, boost and fuel pressure.

Sounds like it's going to be a pretty nice setup when it's done.

No metric tachometer though ;)
