Title: Automatic driven with odd profile tyres

Just got a puncture on rear so fitted space saver to front and front tyre on the back drove about 10 miles when I slowed down got a horrible whine from transmission.one of the rear tyres is 70 profile the other is 75. What is the chances that I have caused some damage?.

Is it a locking differential?

I did get a heavy tyre scrubbing sound on sharp low speed turns.as to what sort I have no idea it's a 86  3.8 cfi.
