Title: Safe aftermarket window tint removal
Post by: Cornfed85 on October 23, 2016, 07:46:49 PM
My '85 has window tint that was installed prior to my ownership. Some of the tint is bubbling up on the drivers window  and the rear window. What would be the safest way to remove the tint without scratching the glass or damaging the defroster grid?

Steam it off.  Find a garment steamer and a razor.  Safe and very effective.

For any glue that is left on the window simply use some window cleaner and 0000 steel wool.  You have to keep the area wet when working with the steel wool or it will scratch the glass.
