I picked up some Dodge SRT-4 caliber seats form local CL ad.  We took off the factory brackets and made some to fit the T-bird seats sliders so I could use the factory t-bird mounting spots.

Driver side and passenger side of SRT seats were made different, we had to make the brackets two different ways, passenger seats we bolted all together cause we and the room for bolts.  The driver side we welded the sliders to the flat bar brackets.

I had considered seats from a Honda CRX ( Si ) at 1 time... Wasn't sure if I could make the brackets needed to make them work.  I think someone on F.E.P used Volkswagen GTI seats in a Bird also... What's next on your " to do" list?

Very well done. Good work. I may swap my seats one day, but just can't get away from the factory Sport seats. I really do like them. Dark gray cloth and leather is what I want. I love black leather, but when the temps get to be 110 here....too bloody hot.

Volvo 240 rails have the exact same width as stock. I flipped the mounts on the rails (put front on rear) and they fit instantly. Took maybe just an hour per rail.
But great work!

I put OMP racing seats on them with Sparco seat brackets on top of the Volvo 240 rails.
There's pictures somewhere in the middle of the thread about my car.

nice job.  I redrilled the stock brackets to fit 2010 mustang seats.
