Hey everyone. There's a Bill Elliott Thunderbird in my city!
Check this out.

This car is breathtaking in person.
Chris
That is cool
Nice. I have seen the one at the Henry Ford Museum. Had no idea there were so few of these around.
Check out the cool Bill Elliot collectable I have of this car.
It's in a Coors can that has the car hidden inside and it slides out for display.

That's way cool
I want it !!!!
Most cars are sold/junked at the end of season, four of any one year/team is probably better than average(then we don't know if these are all '88 or a mix of '87-'88)...
I've seen the 9 car at Henry's place as well, has a major cool factor...
The Coors can/car display is killer, love it... Never seen one of those...
Here's the Talladega clock I have with Bill's '86 on it... A neighbor made a bunch of different ones(drivers), bought it at one of his yard sale... A little hard to believe but the '86 qualified just .573 MPH slower than the '87...

That's one badass clock !!!
Thanks I always thought it was a Keeper...
BTW if anyone is interested Bill's son is racing the #9 NAPA Chevy in the Xnfinity Series, in fact won three races(one before graduating HS) and championship last year in his rookie season(can you just imagine the amount of coochie he's been offered?)...
Yeah it's a bummer he isn't in a Ford, but Rick Hendrick has a nose for talent and grabbed him after the Ford camps were dragging their feet...
I keep driving past Simeone and never have time to stop in, I gotta take my explorer into Pacifico Ford in the next week or two for a free oil change and inspection. So I'll have an hour or two to kill.
Cool.....I have to get to that place sometime. Why is it we never visit the things in our backyards but will travel half way across the country to see something!
Very neat.
You can spot all of the stock pieces on the Elliott car.
Here's some higher res images of the car. I love this thing.

You can have that cookie cutter BS they call NASCAR nowadays. I liked it when you could tell the make of a car from half a mile away. Alan Kulwicki and Davy Allison were my favorites.
two more

That is so freakin' cool!! Thanks for sharing.
Someone steal the transmission? I don't see a gear shift. It's also apparent there is no emergency brake either, lol. Next best thing...throw a 2x4 under the tire.
Pretty sure it was there, all of simeones cars run.. I'm taking my dad there in a week or so, I'll get more pics of the interior... Maybe I can get them to open the hood too. Those guys are super nice, I got up and close to the gt-40's they let us past the barriers and into the exhibit area which was cool.
My favorite drivers also were those same 2.
These are a couple pages on my web that I keep for them.

Dale Earnhardt, Mark Martin and Kevin Harvick also my favs. Though my watching NASCAR Racing days came to an end when Dale died though. I lost all interest in the TV broadcasting of races. Dale was NASCAR and without him the racing never gave me the interest it use to have.
I just read that the Museum is taking the car out twice next week to showcase it.

This seems like a can't-miss event.
Can I drive one of the cars?
Fred is a nice guy but not that nice.. If you was Jay Leno you could drive one
But I don't have any moving violations on my record. I promise to not beat on the rare Ferrari :)
Take the Ferrari...this Thunderbird is mine!!!
