I'm trying to do the mass air conversion using a '93 tbird ecu (it came with the engine). I can't find a pinout diagram anywhere to repin it. I'd like to use it in my '87 cat. I'd really like to save some cash for a non-sd friendly cam rather than pay $100 or more for another ecu. Can anyone help?
93 Thunderbird ECU won't work at all in the Fox chassis.
From what I understand, the PCM for the '93 T-bird has no provision for a MAP/BAP sensor (same as 94-95 Mustang)
I found this:

Looks like they changed one of the pinouts for the HEGO system as well.
I suggest picking up the EVTM for both vehicles if you're intent on using your stock harness.
Personally Id either find a 93 T-bird engine and o2 harness to go with the PCM you have or use a A9x type PCM if I was gonna do the Mass Air conversion.
I see the mod list you have in your sig..... If I were running that particular setup with no plans to go any further, I'd run an 87-88 Mustang speed density PCM and call it a day.
93 Shop Manual:
Wow. 3 hours of looking. I should've come here first. Thanks for the info guys. So my options are 1.) get a sd friendly cam ($$$) or 2.) convert to mass air with a mustang pcm ($$) and hotter cam ($) or 3.) just stick with the lowly cobra cam 4deg adv or something like that (free). I thought about 1.7 rr but for almost the same cost I figured I might as well change the cam.
What started as degreeing my cam and changing to an explorer intake keeps snowballing. :bangcat:
Just fyi my plans also included milling my heads .040 and backcutting the valves. I know they're E7's, but I spent a lot of time porting them and I'd like to know that it wasn't for nothing (or worse!) :hick: Eventually long tube headers and a 100 shot will be the end of the mods for this engine. Maybe demon is right and I should stick with SD.
