Title: It would be shame to crush this one
Post by: bkaser90 on October 25, 2014, 02:05:59 AM
Look at the car in this auction. I hope this thing doesn't go to the crusher.  It looks like a pretty straight car. I might have to go up there and save it.

That looks beautiful; if I were closer I'd have no choice but to liberate that thing.

There was one just like that at my local junk yard. Perfect, no rust. Except they had ran the forks through the windows and lifted it by the roof... Sigh... I wish I would have found it a few days sooner, I might have been able to save it.

I've always liked that color combo.

Once they are in a yard they can not legally be resold. I once tried to buy a rust free midnight blue 87 Turbo Coupe out of the local salvage yard. It was only missing the turbo. The yard would not sell the car to me due to that rule.

I think it depends on state, here we've bought cars from yards often.

The difference being they have to have a state inspection sticker inside them (usually by the original production sticker)
