Title: How to do a code reading?

X Hello,me again.I need to know how [again] to go about pulling up codes. My 88 Tbird has no spark,turn over fine just won't start. Gas is up swap ignition coil & tif module those work good.Reading the chilton diagnosis and test proceduce for now but need to learn to pull up code. Any help will be a blessing. Thanks much

Pulling codes is easy you jump the ALDL connector and read them on the SES light. But a no spark condition wont set a code. Wait!!! Maybe a code 14 if the PIP is bad. You most likely have a bad PIP Normally I change both together.

second link i beleive shows how i have it hooked up.

paperclip.for a jumper,  a test light, voltmeter, buzzer, whatever you want as long as it lights up or makes a noise under 12v's.
