I found a set of 17x10 wheels w/used kuhmo autox tires. The tires don't look too bad and the wheels are in Beautiful shape. Check 'em out. The guy wants $600 for them. Thoughts??

Ohh nice. I like those. If you get 'em, I'll trade some Bullitts for em..:dunno:
Wish you were closer
LOL Sorry, If I get them, I'll be using them.
Who??
That's a pretty wheel.
I think so too
You can find just the wheels for $600 brand new.

If the tires are shot then they are little to no value so I would rather have new wheels and even pick my color (grey, black, chrome) rather than some wheels that have been run through at least one set of tires. Offer him/her $400 cash and walk away if they say no.
Darren
^hell yeah.
I really dig those. I'm going to have to find an image of a 4 eyed coupe with a 5 lug swap and those wheels....I know how they look with the Bullitt wheels, and I love that look...but these look like they would be even better.
I'd also like to see them on a Tbird...although I'm actually debating about going back to 4 lug on the bird and running the turbines.
+1
These are not the knock-offs you can get there or any of the other places. These are "Ford Motorsports" wheels. The tires were used on other wheels and this was the first time ANY tires were mounted on them. I didn't have my tire gauge with me but you could still see the 2 grooves and a little bit of the depth "dimples". There are no cords showing or cuts/gouges in the rubber.
Oh and the tire size is 275/40/17s
I'm kind of partial to them too! That's because they came on Tenth Anniversary Cobra's. Though mine are 17x 9.
If they are indeed factory Ford Motorsport wheels (they do appear that they are), then they would be 17x9's not 10's.
As far as the price, yes, you can buy aftermarket knock-off's for the same money, but that is a fair price for factory Anniversary wheels if they are in excellent condition.
Yes it is. I did some looking myself. Saw a few sets that were around a thousand bucks, and w/o tires too.
They are 10's. The guy also has a set of grey 17x9's on his Saleen and these are wider. He looked long and hard for these and yes they are in excellent shape. :-) I texted the guy and he'll get a pic of the numbers and size on the inside of the wheel tomorrow for me.
Not trying to argue with anyone. :-D
Ok, Well.........I'm eating crow right now. Lots of it lol. (bowing head in shame) The wheels look wider cause they're off the car. I took a look again and yep they are only 9s. I took a couple of pics with one of my fenders.

I thought vinnie had a set on his tbird. I don't know if they're gennie or not, but they look good.
He did/does, but he's gone with a different style and his were replicas. Still look great though.
I didn't want chrome and I like the way the silver finish "sparkles".
Are the real Motorsport wheels forged? If they are, the weight difference and strength would justify the cost over the knock-offs.
They look good
So, does this mean reassembly begins soon? And no is not an acceptable answer.
I don't believe they're forged.
LOL. It might. I'm working on the little Tempo so I can sell it. I'm dying to get things going again but nearly 16hr days doesn't leave me much time on the weekends. :(
I know how ya feel ive been workin anywhere from 14- 18 hr days myself its getting rough. Getting harder and harder to find time to work on my bird
Well here are the wheels on the Bird :D

Here's a couple of the clearance to the coil-over. Ended up doing some trading for them

Those are going to look real good !!
I agree ! Those will be awesome....Something a little different...On a side note I'm digging the blue.
I like 'em. That's about all the clearance there is with my 03 svt rims with 275/40r17's.
Thanks :D I digg the Blue too
I was hoping that I didn't have to run a thin spacer. That's the tire size that's on the wheels now. But they are a little narrower than some other brands. I have some different bolts for the rear mounting bolts on the IRS just for a little added clearance.
Looks great! I like those wheels a lot. BTW that paint has some hella metal flake. Awesome.
Just wait till you see it in person :-D
You need to put a motor in your Bird and then we can go cruising.
Those looks great on there. I always wanted to put a set of those on my wife's Mustang.
Those do look good! I did some pretty extreme stuff with my MM coilovers to get the spring above the tire, but I only use a 6" spring now. I actually had to make spacers to go under the coilover sleeves.
