Wondering who else has Bird or Cat with the full console option. No TC's or XR-7's or Sports. I'm talking 1985-88 base, elan, LX, GS, LS cars.

Possibly on and élan. Years back I had a base line 84 bird 3.8, it didn't have a console. Thanks for the kind words tho. If all goes well ill be getting new doors and NOS molding for the car before winter is over. Then into the paint booth (my two car garage) for a fresh coat of silver.

My Thunderbird LX originally had a consolette but I found an 87 Cougar at the local pick and pull about 6 years ago that had a smoke gray (same color as my Thunderbird's interior) center console. I grabbed it and installed it in my car. Oddly enough the only options on that cougar were the console and power windows/locks. It was a very base car with a 3.8. You would figure to get a console the car would have been optioned up.

Mine has the 5.0, full console, a/c, rear defroster, tilt wheel, power mirrors and windows, that's it! still curious as to which radio it came with, I'm 90% sure it was one of the 2 MTR's.

I added a console to my bird right.before I did the t-5. first car with one. cougar had one already.I've never seen an 83-84 without a console.

87 LS with 3.8 had full console, 85 GS had full console, and 88 LS that I still own has full console.
