Never needed a stud, but the clips are hard to find. They look like screws, they may fit the clip?

i'm pretty sure you can buy those screws at walmart in the hardware section... I know I have a few in my screw container that came from a hardware store that look just like them...

I'm just not sure how I would feel about putting a screw in and essentially creating a bare metal spot for rust to begin

I am same about creating rust, but I read stud welding them on and having bare metal to bare metal cause rust too.  I was thinking about screwing them in and epoxy paint over them.  Maybe pre-drill first then paint hole then sealer on screw, idk
