-does it have all the attaching parts, etc??? bolts, nuts, clips......
Thanks 88turbo.
I was wondering the same regarding the attaching hardware and original paperwork.
FYI
If you click on an avatar, you should be able to send an email to the person unless you need a higher post count for that too?
-looks like I see the manual propped up there. doesn't it have some kind of "band" retainers that hold the hoses to one another also???
I could use 2 of those
All of the boost tubes, hoses, and clamps that came from Ford are still with the kit. It reuses some original items. It did not have any "band" retainers between the clamps.
It bolts into existing holes in the radiator support using existing bolts.
It has the full installation instruction booklet.
The instruction say to trim as necessary to clear the boost tubes. Good advice. I thought the tubes had enough clearance without any tpuppies. The silver spot on the nearest boost tube in the photos is a spot where it rubbed and I had it repaired.
It really made the T-Bird run great with a noticeable power increase. I took it off before I traded the car and it pinged a lot and was really doggy without it. The computer was used to it and I did not unhook the battery and make it "learn" to run without it. It must have been doing some good when it was on because it / I sure missed it.
1BadBird must have Twin Turbos..... I only have one intercooler.
LOL, eventually I'll have twins
I live literally right around the corner from Precision Turbo
Does it fit a xr7 also? It is clearly marked Thunderbird, not Cougar on the box. Just wondering if there was a difference??
I had it on a 1984 Thunderbird.
Same hood, radiator support, and motor. I can't think of any good reasons it would not work.
Like you saw the box is marked Thuderbird and it does have a spot to mark Cougar that is not marked.
Has anyone on this forum had one on a Cougar?
Does 1BadBird have 2 Birds? Why could you use 2?
I do have 2 birds now but only 1 is a Turbo Coupe. Why 2 ?? Well I'm putting a 4.6 in, double the size, so why not double the number of turbos as well
It will fit the Cougar XR-7 Turbo just fine.
I have it's successor, part number M-6775-
F231 on my car.
Nice little front mount IC. If u r looking for a nice power increase with a stockish setup... Then go for it. There are better kits for the money...if u r looking for big power.
