i arrived in iraq finally at 2am
got off the buss ride from baghdad airport,
thermometer said 124deg,,,
i wondered if i was going to survive when the sun came around
there is a reason why that area is desert and been so for a very long time.
state side, its the coolest spring since i think 1972
right now its 39deg at 9am in gap mills wv
when were you in Iraq?
late 04 > mid 06 working for ManTech doing route clearance work
Pfff, it has been one of the hotter Mays I've experienced, on this side of the country. It has been getting like this more every year for a few. Very hot late spring and very mild summer.
I'm used to 90 degree temperatureshiznitting in late July or August, not April/May.
I haven't really paid attention, but I notice that the wind turbines around haven't been spinning much.
Pfff or no Pfff,
not my words, its NOAA saying it.
ive only been around for 43 years so i cant speak to the geological records. IM glad there not more oxigen though, then we'd have flys the size of rats!!!
2 weeks ago we had a hard freeze. We set a record low and record high in the same week. Later this week it is going to hit 98.
Yeah, when visiting weather sites, I was surprised to see the weather on the eastern end of the US. News of freezing or snow storms/wecks and whatnot when I'm going there to see how hot it was going to be on the weekends. I think over here the entire coast has been quite warm. We are currently sitting at 70F though. Perfect temperature.
98 here today in Nebraska!
Personally, I believe the cause of global warming is due to all the menopausal women in the world. When my wife went through menopause, we never turned the furnace on all winter! :giggle::giggle::giggle:
we had sleet yesterday and the day before
I always bring my wife to parties. We never run out of ICE THAT WAY!!
jcassity,
sounds dangerous man! Luckily never saw Iraq but did my time in Saudi and Turkey.
I think weather is going nuts everywhere. You know, the last time we had global warming it was followed by an ice age...just sayin. So you better get those cars finished asap!
We have climate controlled garages/shops here, so I think we will be alright during our car projects. :)
