Title: After my headlamp modification
Post by: jcassity on January 22, 2013, 11:15:38 PM
here are a  couple of pictures of my headlamp modification
everything is stock except for some slightly brighter bulbs you can get at advance.
i am running my headlamps with brights and lows at the same time while in high beam mode.
i also have reworked the interior of my headlamps with actual mirrors (auto zone for 12$) and reflective mirror polymer film tape (grainger 8$ for 15ft of 2'' wide).

i have the headlamp lenses sanded down with 3000grit foam sanding pad (3$) and some polyurethane(in stock) that i burshed on with a foam brush (dollar store pack of 10 for 10$),, but the trick is to use a heat gun and dry the poly (after it sits for about 15min), and heat up the plastic lense until you start to smell that smell that only melting clear plastic can give off, kinda like a toxic smell, when that happens then the magic starts to happen right before your eyes,, things become very clear.
