Title: Any NICE 85-88 TC's out there?
Post by: thundr306 on October 04, 2011, 08:56:36 PM
Might be looking to get back in the game. I have been through this a few times and don't want to start at the bottom again. Willing to pay for a nice car.

Here's a short list of requirements:
no rusted out cars
minimal, if any bodywork needed
no red interior
auto or manual(manual preferred)
consider rolling chassis
5.0/mod swaps welcome!
will travel from PA a considerable distance

Lets see whats out there, even if it's not one of yours.

Thanks
Jim

What do you actually want? Just a tc? I know of a lower mile manual here for $5500.

I'm still here. Found two somewhat local cars, but never made it out to see them.

I may be willing to trade my forged and turbocharged 07 GT for a car and cash. Car is mint with alot of modifications and receipts. This would be a tough trade to negotiate, but I figured I would throw it out there.

I am going to change some of my requirements...

 no rusted out cars
minimal, if any bodywork needed edit...looking for something  near perfect inside and out
 no red interior
auto or manual(manual preferred) edit...doesn't really matter as I am going to swap anyway
consider rolling chassis edit...preferred but could always sell current drivetrain
5.0/mod swaps welcome! edit....doesn't really matter now
will travel from PA a considerable distance

Lets see whats out there, even if it's not one of yours.

Thanks
 Jim

It's all covered up in the garage for the winter!
I try & take it out for a short drive about once a month
if I can catch the roads absolutely salt-free.  That's
really hard to do here in Columbus, Ohio!!:(
I really HATE winter & more so every year.

Jim: I still have my 88 "SUPER COUPE" available. Only thing is it's got RED interior.
I did everything over on this car over the years, it runs great, looks great, runs like a champ, pulls like crazy.
I'm only selling my baby due to a new toy I purchased.

Great looking car! I might have a hard time getting past the red. It makes me miss my old car even more and makes me sick to think of how far along it was....(http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a242/thundr306/87%20turbo%20coupe/th_DSC02738.jpg) (http://s12.photobucket.com/albums/a242/thundr306/87%20turbo%20coupe/?action=view¤t=DSC02738.jpg)

I picked up a 2003 10th anniversary Cobra convertible with 10,000 miles. They only made 2003 10th anniversary Cobra's, available in three colors, Black, Silver and Torch Red (mine) available as hardtops or convertibles. Mine is 1 of 369 made in it's configuration. I got all the documentation with it, owners goodies etc.
Terminators are cool, but I have to say, my Bird with the Vortech is more of an animal than my unmodified Cobra. I'll miss the Bird when she goes since I put so much time and effort into building it, but it's time to move on.

Hey Thundr306,I have an'88 Turbo Coupe,I bought a complete'93 Mustang and did the 5.0 swap.It has the Mustang 5 speed,Steeda clutch quadrant, king cobra clutch, shorty headers BBK H pipe brand new 3 row radiator air pump eliminated etc. It's gone less than 500 miles since the swap, but it runs nice. This was my ongoing little project and I really don't want to sell but I have some bad cirspoogestances goin' on here so I'm considering selling.I didn't post before because it has red cloth interior, don't know how big a problem that is for you.I'm a bit North of you(near Tamaqua ).It's garaged for winter and sorry but I have no pics to post now.Just figured I'd see if you're interested. Thanks!

Close to me, but I really think I am going to pass on anything with red interior unless the rest of the car is really, really close to what I want. If your car is really clean, send me a pm when you get some pictures of it.

I also have an 8.8 with 3:73's ready to go in it. I just put on New Nitto Drags and new front tires. I have a set of Viton Valve stem seals to go in, and the turbo was just rebuilt by me. Oh and I just put in a new HBC boost controller.

I just had her out to Carlisle and got second place for what ever that's worth. Not extremely motivated to sell her but I did find a nice 68 Vette I am interested in so I could be persuaded.
