Paying $1.56 for a Litre of 94 octane in Toronto Canada.

1.369/liter for regular here in NS. Oil's been dropping precipitously the last week (including down over $9 yesterday alone), so hopefully this will be the peak...

$3.89 a gallon here...too much for a broke college kid with a fuel-inefficient vehicle.

Yeah but after you get done with college you won't have to bat an eye at gas prices :p

I hope so man...we'll see. This summer is gonna kill me though. 30 miles to and from my new job each day with my truck...

Is something wrong with the Bird? Mine 3.8 used to get almost 30mpg on the highway, driving it easy. Around town it wasn't too bad either. A ford 3.8 from the late 80's  isn't a powerhouse, it's not going to slam you back in the seat, no sense wasting the fuel for nothing, you know?

$4.3x a gal here to drive my Thunderbird. I can manage 27-28mpg out of it though (if I stay out of boost). Car pooling all next week with my dad (we work at the same factory and I'm on nearly the same shift next week as him). After that I'm sure the Cobalt will be getting most of the use but I'll still drive the bird a couple more times before I start doing body work and making a filler and primer mess. :hick:  I'd love to drive my truck but err.. $4 gas prices and 16-18 mpg in my 4x4 isn't very appealing at the moment.

I think it was $3.89 when I filled up the Silverado the other day. Something like 26 gallons ended up hitting me with a damage report of just a hair over $96.00

It's around $3.76 here, some places you can still get it around the $3.60's. Sucks big time. The Escort saves some coin though, taking about 35-40 bucks to fill the tank (11.9 gallons) and getting around 350 miles per tank.

My bird isn't DD material at the moment. It's sitting in my parent's garage, sadly, with a car cover over it. It's in need of tires, practically all new suspension, and the motor is just plain tired. I have an Explorer OHV that's been averaging 17.5-18 on the highway, which could be a lot worse....In it's heyday though, my bird could get 30+ mpg. When I got the car, best I ever got was 26-ish.

I had to get rid of my beloved Durango because it's extremely poor mileage....... on a good day 8 or 9 mpg city. Although it had some major issues and I just didn't have time to fix it. Now the wife has  (COUGH) Camary (COUGH) She's happy with it and it's 23+ in-town mpg though. One of these years I'll get my birdie done :D
