So like the title says, im finally ready to race the bird. The last time I went I had a beat-up 4 colored primer bird that ran a 12.018@115!!!! I am a little scared to run the car with the shiznitty year i've had.I have since painted the car dropped 100lbs.(from car lol) went from 3.73 to 4.33, an auburn spool, strange axles and c-clip eliminators, had a victor jr. intake cnc port matched to my heads, new upper and lower control arms, new coil-overs, 1-3/4 hooker cerimic long tube headers, 3" x-pipe and magnaflow lers. And it will be in the low 40's tomorrow so I am shooting for 11.50's to 11.60's but anything in the 11's will be just fine.lol wish me luck!!! I hope I don't get too carried away its midnight madness:mullet::burnout:
Sweet! Run her hard! Stay in the groove!
Cant sleep can you? I've never ran any of my cars, but I was going to run my old ranger and I didn't get any sleep. I got up the next morning and it was raining.
Woot! Come on 11's.:burnout:
Where you taking it?
I am going to the local track here the last Saturday of the month for the March Madness event. They let you run all night for 20 bucks. I am taking the Lincoln and my buddy Jon is taking his (my old lol) Cougar. Should be fun, I've never ran before.
They have that here up in gainesville every saturday. Run all day for 30 as many times as you can get in.
I think it will go faster :burnout: move me up on the list!!!!! :shakeass: the car felt so good even saw some light under the tire about 5in

Great MPH. Power is there for bottom 11's high 10's. Nice work
I know its my converter having a 3000 stall, stall at 2200 does not help my situation
Fantastic! I just went through your photobucket. Both of your cars look great. The 86 runs and sounds as good as it looks.

6 tenths and 4MPH are huge gains. I know how I'd feel about getting that to happen! It's gotta feel great getting back to the track.
Improving the 60' time is the just next phase...

Oh man, what a wicked beast! She looks great!
 Nice pull the G's proberly took you off the pedal.
You actually picked up mph from more gear?
100# weight loss, ported victor jr, afr185 and tfs2 must like the rpm.
Would you advise going from 3.73's to 4.10's at 3680#weight with 300-310hp at 5000-5200rpm? 275/40r17 (26"?)
Sorry for the thread highjack.
Mike
The gear change was the first thing I did and it was the thing i noticed the most, the other stuff helped (I hope) because it cost a lot more:punchballs:
I now believe that in almost any case an aod should have atleast 4.10!!! I have done a lot of research and in most cases you gain more at the low end even if you run out of gear at the end!! (in moderation)
Those are great :evilgrin::evilgrin::evilgrin:
Thanks for posting them up!
