I can't find the old die cast thread, so here's a new one.  :hick:

Here's some of my Thunderbirds and Cougars.

Very nice collection! My large scale collection has dwindled, but I still have a few that I won't let go of.

It's nice to see I'm not the only one collecting toys/memoribilia. I mainly collect Fox T-Bird stuff, I was buying any matchbox/hot wheels of any year I could find but there aer way too many so now I try to stay with the foxes. And it's not just mathchbox/hot wheels, I collect the larger die cast,(I've not found any larger Fox Bird or Cougars), remote controls, signs, and magazines, articles, and ads. I already made a thread for the ads so many of you have seen those. So here's some pics for yinz to check out.

Nice collection 1bad88.

Here's the latest finds since last month. :hick:

A rotating display stand that has 4 racks with 6 pegs that hold 6 cars each. I already put the cars on it. Now I just need to find a Hot Wheels sign to stick on it. :hick:

I was at the Ace hardware store in town, and spotted a bin full of these. It was like a time capsule, they didn't have a single Hot Wheel newer than 2004. They hadn't updated their price so they were still .69 a piece.

I already had the red one.

Thanks! That's a heck of a Hot wheels/Matchbox collection you have! I have quite a few but no where near what you have. I still have most of mine from when I was little. I actually have the red Challenger you have. How much did you pay for the blue one? If you don't mind me asking.

It was 15.50 for it, I sniped it at the last moment.

Thanks, collecting Hot Wheels is something me and my dad have done for years. He actually has more than I do.

These came from ebay, a lot of 5 and they were 6.63 shipped. Loose, but mint.

Wow nice!! That collecter case is really nice!! I like the 71 Maverick Grabber. I had started to collect just T-Birds of all years but I found out they have way too many variations of them. So I decided to stay with the fox bodies and I think I have most of them. Of course I'm sure there's some colors I don't have.

Ok, I had to put the cars in and get pics so it's ready.

I found that showcase at the Goodwill store full of these exact cars from around 1980.

now looking at all this, it makes me wonder if there are any die cast of 83-88 cougars.  Lets face it,, they really were not actually considered "cool".

I wonder if the did? Of course the 83-86 could pass as T-Birds in the Hot Wheels/Matchboxes. The grills make them look the same.

AFAIK no one made a fox Cougar unfortunately, just Thunderbirds. Maisto made a Mark VII.

I have a red TC just like the one you have, along with the larger blue one, but all of my decals and paint on the red one are gone because I thrashed those things when I was a little kid and played with them...

I've got like 8 Crates full of carded Hot Wheels~At least 1000? I really need to sell them or something as I need the space back, lol.
There hasnt been much in the way of fox birds since the mid 90's or so, And no cougars at all that I've ever seen.

This came UPS Tuesday.

You can order these direct from Plano in cases of 6, that's enough to hold 144 cars. They were 44.03 shipped.

These may say they're for hardware, but whoever designed them had Hot Wheels in mind.

They have slotted holes for hanging, I already had 4.

What I do is just open duplicates or Matchbox that come in a box and store the box, and if you keep them in a case like this they'll stay mint so they still have decent value.

Nice finds! I think the Majorette is the best casting of the '83-'86 Thunderbird.

Good luck, it's the hardest of the regular line to find right now. It took me weeks to find the 2 I have.

I NEED THAT ONE!  I have a coupe (67) and prefer it to the fastback everyone is in love with.  Trying to find a coupe model of any sort is dang near impossible.

You found that at wallyworld?  I'll need to go look.  Then I need to get some blue paint.

Here's the only die cast I have. I forgot I even had it until we moved last week. I got it from my dad when I was 18. Never been opened and now it will go to my kid someday.

Here's a few more I found, the Gambler I got from ebay and the other 2 from a flea market. I only paid 50 cents each for the flea market finds, I'm mainly collecting the fox birds but for that price I had to get it.
