Title: Clean enough?
Post by: thunderjet302 on September 18, 2010, 09:07:43 PM
I just finished 20 hours worth of cleaning the T-bird for the VTCI international convention this coming Friday. Is it clean enough yet? For some reason the flash on my camera makes things look dirty that aren't dirty, unless that means I need to clean more.:hick:

It looks great! I notice u have preforated leather seats. Is that factory or did you have them redone that way. The seats look really nice!

The perforated leather seats were a factory option on LX T-birds:D. Here are some more pics

Beautiful car!  I want your seats.  :)

I'd say your car is clean!

Good luck with the show.

Great Job!

On you lower arm rests, it looks like there is still a bit of ick on them. If i am correct, and you are having difficulty getting all the ick out, try Mr. Bubbles bathroom cleaner.

Shiny Side Up!

Looks B.A. man!!

I wish I had time to clean on my car for 20 hrs.  I have not had time to drive the old girl this summer very much.

Great job man! I'd say all the hours you've put into cleaning it have paid off! Your car is awsome!! Good luck with the show. Oh, are you driving it to the show? Or trailering it? I always drive mine to shows but it would defenately stay alot cleaner trailering it.

I'm driving it I always do. I don't have a trailer but I think trailering a car to a show is silly. It's a car drive it;)

I'm with you. Trailering a car to a show takes the fun out of it. I like seeing the people's reaction to it and the thumbs ups and waves. You would miss out on all that, plus driving it's alot of fun. Although I have a couple nice chips in the paint from driving it.

I don't want to damage the Sport's paint 9although she's probably getting repainted in about a year),but,it's worth a few tiny paint nicks to enjoy the car,and besides, they're still making paint.

Cars are meant to be driven. I was at the judges meeting for the VTCI convention today (the show and judging is Friday) and a trailered car arrived from Texas for the show. It was a 1963 Sports Roadster in rangoon red with a black interior and a 390 6bbl. The car had been restored to better than factory condition. It was perfect and beautiful. The thing is they guy who owns it never drives it more than on and off the trailer at shows. Why would you have such an awesome car and not drive it? I don't care how rare or perfect it is there's no fun in just looking at a car in the garage....

 I could not agree more
A car that you cannot drive is just a really expensive paperweight
