Try repairing the switch! It's usually as simple as removing the rubber skin around the switch and popping the thumb rockers off. All you need to do is see which contact is not making contact when it should. You can bent the appropriate contacts inside slightly up or down as needed to make it work again. I have fixed mine this way and it works perfect now.
