What are the cars current mods?  What are you're planned mods for the car?  There's no reason to replace the VAM on a fairly stock, or mildly modified car.
You will need a wideband O2 meter, a J3 chip for the stock computer (Moates), software to edit the stock tune in the ECU, the MAF transfer tables to enter into the editing software, and alot of patience and some time.  You'll get plenty of information over on TurboFord.net.  Just use the search function and you'll get a bunch of info.
