Title: gas filler drainage
Post by: mattg on June 24, 2009, 08:02:29 PM
hi-  it rained alot recently.  went for gas before and inside the fuel door is a bunch of water pooling up in the spot where gasoline would normally overflow to and drain out.  where is it supposed to drain to?  i tried to blow it out with air.  then poured in some water and it is still clogged.

There's a hose that goes from the filler area to the back/bottom of the passenger side of the rear bumper cover.Get in there and clean out the tube and all should drain just fine.I ran a long piece of clothes hanger in the drain tube and cleared it.

I would like to know very much where all the drain holes are, so that I can make sure all of mine aren't clogged.

i don't know where ALL the drain holes are throughout the vehicle except the ones i had problems with-  the doors, cowl, and gas filler.  Attached is what the gas filler drainage looks like.  I found a picture before snaking it so i could better understand what i was dealing with.  see attched
