Not trying to step on anyones toes but...

These can be bought new from LateModelRestoration
They are for a mustang but they look exactly the same to me.

Yeah looks like he came out better buying a used one but sometimes its hard to find a used on that isnt busted. Plus latemodelresto even sells the screw that holds it down! lol

I bought one of those for my T-bird in '03. It is the same thing as the T-bird piece. But when I bought it they cost $18 ;)

they actually have the mustang part designation on
the underneath--irv
and no they didnt use a screw on birds or cougars

supposedly only 86 mustangs and capris used a bolt
or screw. the 87 up used a push pin.havent researched
the 86 catbirds but probably the same.87 and 88 bird
and cougar also used the plastic as near as i can tell.have never come up with a part # out of the fiche.

Most of the mustangs I have ever owned had the bolt and they werent limited to just 86? Maybe someone before me thought the bolt was a better idea! lol
