I am looking for the rectangular steering wheel center trim that is used on 1980-83 Thunderbirds like the ones pictured below. It could be all black or with woodgrain. Please contact me if you have one to sell.

I have a black one i would be willing to sell. It is in pretty good shape, a few light scratches. See attatched. send me a PM is interested

I can get those scratches out with some McGuires Plastix... I had so much success getting the scratches and blotches out of my clear gauge lens that I should have no problem making that one look nice. Hold that thought. There is someone on here who offered to look in a salvage yard for me. If he comes up empty handed I will definitely be interested in the one you have. When it rains it pours! I really thought it might be hard to find one!

Its funny how things sometimes just fall into place, I have had it sitting around the house for a couple of years.

Well since the one that was sent to me was packaged in a flimsy regular mailing envelope it did not survive being shipped, I am looking again for the steering wheel trim. Please if anyone can help.

Wow thanks so much for the heads up! I have been looking on ebay quite regularly and it's about time one popped up!
Well with this heads up I won the virgin NOS Tbird steering wheel trim on eBay. If it arrives here undamaged I will be very happy! I was very worried I would be grossly outbid and unable to compete in the end for a bid.

I am no longer looking for this! I got my virgin NOS part delivered to me today IN ONE PIECE! I am very happy! It is flawless.
The one thing I didn't realize is that since it is from a 1980-82 Tbird, it has a nice brushed aluminum perimeter with the black inset. This was a surprise bonus for me! I really didn't pick up on that from the eBay picture but now that I look again it's there.
The 1983 models were all black or had the woodgrain perimeter.
