I will be pulling my tranny out to do a rebuild and needed a bench to work on (being that I dont have one)so this is my progress so far.
9'x30"x34"
Nice, that should help out quite a bit.
Nice! Hardest thing about a bench is keeping it from accumulating on top of it, lol. I had a friend make me a bench some years ago (still used) that included a power strip in the front, a vise on one end, and side extensions. I told him I wanted it sturdy enough to rebuild a transmission on it. I think I could fit 3 on there, lol. One bonus is an adjustable moving light off the back.
I know what your saying about the junk accumulating,I am hoping most of the junk will end up on the bottom shelves.
I already have a bench grinder and a drill press that is going on top and I will be looking for a 4 or 5 inch vice (that is a must).
I will be painting the backboard ford blue and hope to paint a big T-Bird symbol up towards the top
more progress
Joe, Nice work so far dude...now have fun getting that all dirty when U start hanging your tools and stuff. :headbang:
You make my shop look bad! Thanks alot now I need to redo mine!
It won't, don't ask me how I know. :hick: ;)
It looks great now though.
ummm. where'd the calendar go!?
Looks great! My two benches are highly magnetized...they even attract my wife's craft junk! Maybe I should follow your lead but paint snakes on the walls. She'll never go in there again.
I think the wife took care of that...................j/k.I put it somwhere safe.
Okay, now you're just showing off.... J/K, lookin' good!!
