How are these? Anyone have experience with them? This guy's local and my passenger side speaker is going out (and for some reason the in-dash speaker on the passenger side is also gone). Tested an older pioneer speaker I had but it had NO mid/lows compared to the stock premium speaker

i havnt had experiance with them but they look decent. carefull buying used stuff though. seller seems to have good feeback.
I'd never buy a used item if it had to ship. This way I can always get back in contact with them if I must ;)
eclipse speakers are pretty good. Most of them come with life time warrenties.
I can't tell if the speakers sit flush on the top or not...don't feel like cutting a hole in the speaker covers
how much should I bid up to? They retailed around $99 before they were discontinued. No idea how much they're actually worth.
Can get them new on ebay for $65 shipped
edit:
anyone know what the frequency response was for the 6 1/2" premium speakers? I'm guessing somewhere around 50hz on up to 10-20khz (hard to tell with the dash speaker going)
I would do it. And If my Infiniti 6 1/2" fit with a Plus sized woofer on them, those will definitely fit. The good thing about Eclipses' 3 way speakers is that they sound great without amplification, but can handle a decent ammount of power if you choose to. I'm going with a new set of Focal Seperates.....but I think the Eclipse ones would be the way I'd go if I went Coaxial.
the bid on that auction jumped up so I went with a couple other pairs from someone local - some eclipse 3½'s and alpine 5¼'s. For now, I finally have 2 more functioning speakers (dash and door) that sound great (minus a little less bass but I never turn it up so *shrugs*)
$40 well spent
Bringing this back up, I just picked up some new 6.5's from the MB Quart DSE 216 package (LINK (http://"http://www.mbquart.de/en/produkte/car/discus/produkt.php?nr=dse_216")), but the things are too big to fit flush in the door. As you can see, the things are a bit bulky from the side. (http://home.comcast.net/~s.g.s/dse216.jpg)
I haven't measured, but placing the speaker in the stock hole, it sticks out probably around 1". What would be the best way to go about installing this thing in there? I can try just drilling new holes and mounting it with some type of spacers, but I don't think the door panel will go back on with the stock grill. I really don't want to cut up the door, making the speaker hole have jagged edges (compared to the folded over edge it has now). I have no problems modifying the stock grill, but from the look of it, the speaker will probably still hit the door panel.
Any tips?
edit:
I tried mounting it from the back, but it hits... ummm something... when its almost in position. Too dark out to see what it is, but it can't be moved.
