I have wanted this car from the first time I saw it driving down the road here in Spokane Washington.  While cruising Craigs List...I found it across the state.  The rain and moisture on the coast did a number on the paint, peeling clearcoat, rust on the trunk. 

I just got home from driving it home...360 miles... with absolutely no problems!

A new headliner...some misc. interior parts and a paint job...and it'll be back to where it was when I first saw it.

Does anybody have the black rubber XR7 insert?

Nice, looks like a solid start to a project....  makes me miss my '85 again....

Check out my 85 XR7 (86k miles!) I bought this year with an 86 Cougar for $150. You got rust?

What the hell? I cant find part let alone a whole car near me and you guys are snaggin them up like they are toyotas. And XR-7s at that.

Looks like a good base for a great project

I about shiznit when he told me he only wanted $150. I've been working this guy for 3 years!

I got more pics if you want to see anything. Its in need of a fair amount of work but I'm all over it. Hey Beej I got two of those inserts if you talking the ones from the moulding. Just let me know.

86XR7...

Cool car...I bought a black '84 XR7 for parts...as it had been totalled....and it was a cool looking car!

There is rust on the trunk where a previous owner backed into a pole..thats about it for rust....I have a lot of peeling of the clearcoating....Yes, the XR7 molding is what I need.  How much for just one?

Is there any XR7 or turbo badges on the rear of the '85....trunk or taillamps?  Mine doesn't have any.

Well I was told mine had the Turbo lights but they had fallen apart and been given Cougar GS lights instead. so mine doesnt have them either. as for the badges you make an offer for the one you want and its yours. clean one or dirty one (only way I can remember).
