im putting the 11" spindles brakes etc on my tbird but the spindles arent the same thickness where the strut mounts to, so what struts do i need to use .. :punchballs:
I had the same problem. Either Turbo Coupe or Lincoln Mark VII struts will do.
You can also just use spacers to take up the extra space.
That's my plan.My struts are nearly new.Everything else is going away for replacement parts, and I don't want to add struts to the list.
I bought 90 mustang struts, i guess they wont work?
I think aftermarket struts (stock replacement type, like Munro, etc) are the wide ones and include spacers anyway.
If your '90 Mustang struts were off a 5.0 car they should be the right width unless they're aftermarket, in which case they'll have the wider "mouth" and need spacers. They might be too short though (not sure on this)...
5.0 car or not?
They must not be since you say they are wider than the spindles.
sry i meant that the factory tbird struts werent the right width.
