Well for some time ive been collecting parts here and there for my project, and its getting close to the point where i start putting the peices together. My 306 block just got done today, im still porting on my heads, a little at a time. I bought a 88 turbocoupe for the center console and rear, probally going to use the header panel to. Still need a few thing yet, but its coming together. The 3.8 is still in the car until I get everything else ready.

Cool.Believe me,I know what's like collecting parts and waiting......waiting.......waiting.Patience pays off in the long run.I've seen a lot of people get in a big hurry to do things and end up spending a LOT of money that they didn't have to,and a loss of time having to do things twice or more. Can't wait to see the pics.If I can upload pics, anyone can.It took me 3 or 4 years before I figured it out though.LOL.

When you post.  At the bottom of the page it says "Go advanced".  Click that.

Then go to "manage attachments"  it will give you an option for 3 pics.  Select the ones you want by browsing.  Then you click "upload".

After that hit submit and you're good to go.  If the pics won't upload they maybe too big.

havent done much lately, i got the spindles off the turbocoupe today, taking the rotors to have them turned at work. I also took out the turbocoupe springs which will go in after the engine swap. Any ideas on  good struts and shocks ? Coolcats say that the turbocoupe springs will lower a v8 car, cant wait..

The ideal one would be an 88 tbird,\cougar, then an 87, Finding one is another story. maybe someone on here. The stangs I here are trouble to work with, at least that's what I heard. never tried one.

I tried a Stang harness. Not worth the time and effort.Just get an '88 Harness and do the wiring upgrade to Mass Air.Well worth it,and easy to do.

If your car came with a 5.0,just get the Mass Air conversion kit (I got mine for cheap from Ebay) and do the job.It comes with the wire, plug, ends for the computer harness.easy to do and the kit is worth buying. The colors of the wires are correct, very clean and neat.

If your car is an '88, you will need a harness from an '88 5.0 Cougar/Bird. There are slight plug differences between '87 and '88.:D

well the rear is in. Started on the motor, still have to get the heads done, 1.90, 1.60 valves. My friend gave me a HO cam so thats in. The machine shop suggested 1.7 pedestal rockers with the ho cam. Waiting on the engine harness and then ill pull out the 3.8. And as always still hunting parts before I can proceed any farther.

Sounds and looks like you're off to a good start.
When you post pics that are hosted on photobucket, just use the IMG code, not the one you've bene using, as the pics will come right up.

Good luck!
