Hey does anyone know where I can buy a new lid to the center console my latch is broke which leaves the light on inside and it drains the battery... I need a new latch or a whole new cover or console the interior is blue I would love if it matched and looked original... Anyhelp would be greatly appreciated! Thank you
Oh I forgot I have a 87 cougar XR-7, I read that the console for the XR-7 is shorter due to the ashtray in the back.
take the bulb out untill you can find one in good condition. you might have to get an old cracked one (assuming you have the leather style) and have it redone. i was looking at mine (which is also broke) i didnt look too much into it but i think the latch can be replaced so that might be an idea.
Post a pic of your console.There are two styles of console lids.I may have the latch you need.
I got a extra Turbo coupe one is that the same size as the XR7 one not trying to steal the spot light but it would be nice to know so i can paint it and swap it out in my car and make it look nicer.
I've only seen two styles of console lids,and they will swap out.
