Here are a few quicks pics of my T Bird
One More....
Well.............
That is one sweet Tbird!
Since you're fishing for responses, here's one:

Oh yeah, as for the car itself, not bad. Not really my style overall, but looks alright.
Sweet! That blower is really giving me ideas. Love the original paint and welds too.
I think I recall a guy who used those wheels and stuck some stock wheel covers (this was a crown vic) over top of them. I'm thinking you should get some crown vic wire wheel covers and stick over top of those wheels for the ultimate sleeper effect. That pant scheme and the woodgrain dash both sort of lend themselves to the sleeper idea.
But then the cowl hood sorta ruins that sleeper vibe.
Also made me rethink my willingness to use one on my own Birds. I just don't like how it looks on there. If I HAVE to use one to fit the big I6, I will.. but I'd rather not if I can avoid it.
sahweeeeet!!!!!

What is the most ridiculous aftermarket product? Hands down, it's the "little intake fans" and the "throttle body spacers" with the bore grooves. Right there on the list has to be those "underhood exposed filters" that suck in 200° underhood air instead of ambient (70°-100° air from the fenderwell). 10° air temp rise is -1% HP. That's how dynos are calibrated for temperature changes. Does anyone really believe that all those OEM manufacturers designed expensive plastic inlet systems - for the last 20 years - that pull cool air from the fenderwell, hood or grill because they didn't have anything else to spend their money on? Then there's those "factory calibrated" mass air meters that do not use a chip or re-calibrated processor with oversize injectors. They unwittingly reduce the voltage signal to the mass air meter to compensate for the larger injectors at WOT but they neglect all the driveability issues. The result is over advancing timing, lean mixtures, detonation, surging, bucking etc.
Well seeing is how thats the way (procharger) made its setup
(with the filter ) I think thats how I'll leave it since my car has already ran 10.21. And try not to sound so bitter on your response, and I'm glad this isn't your type otherwise mine wouldn't be different than your's.

I like it, in the side shot it looks very aggresive. And I really like the stock looking paint scheme.
Jim
Who's bitter? You have nothing I want or envy. A couple of us were talking privately and decided that you were being an ass by fishing for responses with that "Well............." post only 15 minutes after posting your pics, as if we should all jump right to posting about your car out of sheer gratitude for your generous posting or something. So you got the "honest" response instead of the "generic, blandly supportive" one.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!
Play nice boys.
And, blownbirds, I think that Bird351 would have a Tbird 10 times nicer than yours if he wasn't so afraid of climbing underneath it. hehehe :giggle:
And you'd have a nicer Bird if you weren't so busy bringing Third World Momentum to America. See? I can play the cheap-shot game too, bubba.
I'm not afraid of getting under my cars. Happens all the time. I'm cautious about having 3000+ lbs. of metal hanging over my head on a couple jackstands when I have no solid surface like a paved driveway to park on.
I'd have a nicer bird if I went out and bought a bird.
Learn to take a joke Sparky.

Seriously man you are hilarious. I bet you'd sit here all day refreshing the page so you could respond to each post as quickly as possible, wouldn't you?
Lighten up a bit. Don't take me so seriously. I'm not trying to upset or insult you or anything like that. Just poking a little fun your way. I'll dull my poker so it won't hurt so much next time. My apologies.
Nope, actually I was out making coffee and taking care of an Ebay sale that came up while I was asleep. Don't take yourself so seriously that you start to think people hang on your every word.
This place is gonna end up just like Cougarnuts.
You been sayin' that for awhile :p
Blownbirds... realize that it's a message board and you did post pretty late on a sunday night. You might not get instant gratification responses.
No...we can still have pictures in our sigs.
:locked:
I agree, seems everybody is in a real pissy mood lately, what with all the arguing and bashing. :dunno: :2c:
Also this place isn't full of spammers. Just the occasional troll here and there.
Now all we need is some idiot FWD people and a bunch of trolls/spammers.
I don't wanna start a ruckus, and I didn't realize the time difference, my appologies. I finally got pics up because everyone was asking, and I was excited to show everbody, as this is the first place I've found where everybody for the most part is cool and informative. Everbody I know here in south cali owns a mustang.
:nono: :flip: :raspberry
not much else to say i'm speachless
but very nice
more pictures please :D
enough said
Nick
Yeah, it would probably help if you kept in mind that the vast majority of the people here seem to be up in the Northeast. Not even many board members down here in Florida w/ me.
Guess every one of us screwed up a little bit here. You didn't catch the time difference, and neither did we. So it would've been, what, like 8:30 PM when you posted?
Thaaaaat explains it. I'm thinking "this dude is posting pics at midnigt on Sunday and expects a good response?" My apologies.
Blownbirds, try "resampling" your pictures after you shrink them to keep from degrading in quality like the ones posted.
The 'bird looks quite nice.
One just happens to be a resident troll. :tg:
Seriously, lighten the **** up already, Bird. The source of every tiff that's been happening here in the past few months starts with you flying off the handle over something trivial.
I was wondering when my stalker would show up.
I still have you on ignore, but I had a hunch that when a post of yours showed up AGAIN right after I had posted several times, that it was you running your mouth about me.. so I viewed the post, and yep, I was right.
So let me clue you in, Oldhippie: You need to stop obsessing about me. If I bother you so much that you have to follow me around and bitch about me, and from what I've heard that's exactly what you do, maybe you should consider putting me on ignore as I've put you on ignore. Then you won't ever have to put up with me "flying off the handle" or anything like that. I swear, you're like an obsessive ex-girlfriend who claims to hate the old boyfriend, but has to run around and constantly bitch about that boyfriend and can't talk about him enough.. and has to hear every juicy little tidbit of gossip about him. Let go of the obsession.. I'm not your type. I like women. I'm even engaged to one.
Oh yeah: So much for your assertion that every argument around here is my fault. I said nothing in the thread where the New Yorker was bragging about drunk driving. I've said nothing in several threads where you people have bickered about things. Hell, you've all fired up plenty of arguments when I wasn't even around.. like the week my phone was dead. I come back, and it's :locked: :locked: :locked: .
Now back to relatively sane people:
We were both guilty of it. We'z both sorry.
On the contrary Bird351...oldraven has a very valid point:
And you have been warned before. This thread was supposed to be about someone's T-Bird pictures, was it not?
EDIT: Post after the above.
It's the jones... But it can be fixed. Take a look at my t-bird and then you guys will have something else to talk about!
The silver car, is the one my g/f wrecked...
The blu one is an up to date pic of my car now... BUT they're two differnet cars... i just had to buy another one.
And for the record, i just wanted to spam some pix. :D
I'm going to reply in PMs, Eric.. except for this:
Lock? Sure. Brian and I apologized to the guy, and he also realized his mistake. Maybe he can make the thread again and we can start off better the second time around.
Honestly, where do you get this stuff? Why do you think you clash with so many people? It's everybody else that's the ass hole, right? :bs:
As for the thread. I like the setup underhood, and you've taken awesome care of the old girl. I never have been a fan of the cowl hoods, though. Some of the more curvaceous one's are ok, but these slab sided one's don't seem to gel. And is it just me, or are they getting higher? ;) Anyway, man. 10's? You're doing something right. Keep up the good work.
It's the ed WEATHER I tell you! It's supposed to snow yet again here on Long Island this Saturday. It IS a nice car though. I can not argue with that. I wanna see a pic or two of that 55 you got Blownbirds ;)
So anyway, could you post some more pics of the interior? Kind of curious as to how it looks. I have actually only been in a fox body mustang once, so I don't know how they look over the stock ones.
Jim
No, About.com says it's going to rain there Saturday. When will you ever learn? kthxbye. :p
(in case anyone gets upset over this, he knows I'm kidding.. check the title under his name, and the picture next to mine) :p
:brick: :bricks1: Rain, Snow....... They both suck
I'll have to borrow the digital cam again, but I'll get some pics of my 55 up soon, my 89 was behind my 86, and the 55 was in the garage.
Nice!
Honestly, if he was "fishing for responses", why does that bother you (Brian and Bird351)? He obviously wanted some input on his car. At least he didn't post his thread in BIG CAPITAL LETTERS like some other n00bs have done in the past. This is a message board, and his car is worthy of praise. I'll bet he was probably just excited that he found a fox bird site to post it on. You both need to quit the whinning. Give credit where it is due and move on.
Wow. This thread is really old and I thought the conflict was resolved. Guess not. The ONLY reason I said anything was because he posted the pics and 15 minutes later, with no responses, he seemed to get impatient. Once we all figured out that the time difference made it midnight for most of the board members, the conflict was resolved. I'm sorry.
Yeah, why the hell did this get dug up again? Thought we had moved on a week or two ago.
Because I don't visit here that often anymore (mostly because of threads like this which is sad because I was one of the first 10 members of this community when it was started 7 years ago on EZ- board), the thread was still visible and I had a comment to make on it. Since the thread isn't locked it's obviously not a closed topic.
A comment made without reading the entire thread, or you'd have had your answers and wouldn't have needed to ask. Things were explained, apologies were handed out, everyone else moved on. This "comment" solved *nothing*. Please don't dredge this up again.. things were just starting to settle down around here. (with the exception of IGAH's locked thread today) Hell, I've even started talking to Oldraven again.
Bill... my first comment on this thread wasn't at all inflamatory. My second one mentions that maybe, just maybe he wasn't going to get the responses he expected:
Then I acknowledged my error and explained why I was confused:
My other comments were regarding Cougarsluts and I actually did comment, civilly, on the car itself. People will jump all over a n00b if they post a request for help and then get angry when they don't get isntant results. At frist I thought this was the very same thing. I really don't wish to be on anyone's bad side here. There are already probably a few people on these message boards who dislike me because of various topics.
Nice setup for sure, but isn't that a Cobra intake? Your mod list says GT-40. Not nitpicking at all, just wanted to know.
It actually is an Explorer intake, which is essentially a Cobra intake.
And I'm glad for it. I have absolutely no use for grudges, and we're all here for the same reason. Let's just drop it and get back to the ceasefire. ;)
Well said Bill...
Nice car btw blownbird, Guess having that nice cowl hood doesn't let the temps get too high under there ;)
Sweet. I am glad you kept the original color.
