I went tonight in the hopes that a late show on a Sunday night might not sell out. WRONG! Almost every showing has been sold out since it's midnight showing around here. A very solid movie. This is probably the darkest comic book gone movie I've seen. Check it out if you haven't already!
A week ago this past Saturday,my boy and I bought advanced tickets for opening night (Friday) and were there before anyone.Luckily we were early, the lobby was packed tight.Every seat in the theater was full.AWESOME movie.Very violent and cool, the Batman is supposed to be.With the way the movie ended, the next movie should also be great.Things have changed now for the Batman.Awesome flick !!!
AMAZING.
Watched it Friday, got stuck in the first row.. but it was worth it. :hick:
I saw it yesterday it was well worth it
I was waiting for a thread on this to pop up...
I saw it right after midnight on Friday morning...going to see it again tonight. AWESOME movie!
I'll be seeing it on Friday.
Absolutely incredible movie. Matched and surpassed Batman Begins in virtually every way. All that Heath Ledger hype... totally validated!
Saw it Saturday afternoon. It rocks :D
Bought my tickets online about 3 hours early for a 5:30 showing on Sunday. Walked in the Theater @ 5:35 and found decent seats right away while previews for other movies played for about 10 more minutes after I sat down.
Agreed.
The new Rachel was IMHO a letdown.
Other than that an A+
I wonder who will take up Ledger's torch. I also wonder if Morgan Freeman's character will return.
I wonder how soon until the sonar trick with the cell phones is acheived by our government......
My girlfriend and one of her friends went and saw/seen (whicherever tense is accurate..) last Fri. night...I will be going this weekend. She said it kicked total ass, and coming from her, that is saying something, lol.
I've seen the previews to it when we saw Get Smart and Hanpen 15, both decent movies in their own right...but..I DO want to see the newest Batman...
you lucky bastids :flip::D
WHY SO SERIOUS??!!!
But yes very funny and very dark Superb acting all around and glad to see someone other than Katie Holmes as Rachel. Cant wait for the 3rd.
Seconded, though I think they could have handled that storylines ending better. Also I'm still debating the Aaron Eckhart/Harvey Dent deal. As for the Morgan Freeman character, think about the look on his face when he left the room ;) ! Seriously though, the whole Joker theme/storyline has kinda left a haunting feeling with me.
I saw it last Thursday at midnight, the very first showing in my region. And I thought it was amazing!
Really? I thought it really took away from the Rachel character by changing the actress... I really don't care much for Maggie G., she looks like she never sleeps and has a weird shaped nose. Maybe if they'd chosen someone besides her. Whatever, we won't have to see her anymore after this one (unless they decided to throw flashbacks in any subsequent movies).
chances are if it's in a movie they got it already. in the milatary or high secret suits.
And he was never heard from again. lol i hope not
Saw it last night. AMAZING! Batman is really the only superhero movie/ show I ever like but this one was the best by far. I wanted to buy it when I was leaving so I could watch it again.
Just read on Yahoo -- "British outlets are reporting Christian Bale has been arrested for assaulting his mother and sister."
Yeah, I heard about it on corral - the best place for all relevant news:

Assault is a very broad charge ranging from actually hitting someone to just yelling at them.
And the previous Rachel and the new are not comparable, Rachel played a much larger role in Batman Begins than in the Dark Knight. As an actress i like Maggie Gyllenhaal much more than Katie Holmes.
I seen it friday, awesome movie
Joker was good.
Disappearing pencil trick, whoa!
New love interest, meh. Not enough screen time to feel anything.
Overall, definitely worth $5
7/10. Please no haters
Good enough. Then again comic's aren't my thing. So i really didnt understand the characters.
yeah that was good. everyone gasped when it happened then laughed.
$5... its 9.75 here. Good thing my GF works there. FREE MOVIES
5 it was 11 per ticket just because i reserved them over the phone, usually 10 for a night showing.
I believe that there is no way to equate the "New Joker" to the Jack Nicholson joker. My reasoning behind this is the fact that the new joker is a certain type of twisted demented character. I also believe that The Dark Knight was based off of a Frank Miller graphic novel.
re pencil "trick", I can't remember if anybody laughed, but plenty definitely gasped. It definitely left a lasting impression on me.
Later in the movie, two or three times, the audience cheered/clapped, and at the end, so it was definitely a hit.
I think I caught the matinee price (5pm).
Not sure which one is better, but both Joker characters have been, IMO, the best screen villians in quite a while.
Forgot to mention, I thought the batbike was lame-o. Movies have to at least approximate reality. "Yoo canno' change the laws o' physics ...."
no comprendo
I was gonna post the second I got out. I saw the midnight preview on Thursday night!!!!! haha to you all. It was really good. I wanted to ruin all your fun but had no time to get online to brag...oh well.
Being a Twisted New Yorker in a theater full of other twisted New Yorkers; there was an uproar of laughter from myself as well as more than half of the other movie goers.
